Default iPhone mount options.

I have searched and seen a few mounts but they are not what I was hoping to find. What I was hoping was something that would plug into the 12v hole (not powered just a simple rod with the diameter of the outlet) and an iPhone cradle attached to it. This is the only sore spot I have with my new stang as there is no place to put it, especially if you have two drinks in the cup holder. Anybody see anything like this or similar. May have to make something myself if not.

Anybody try one of these?

I have a similar mount for my GPS from Arkon. I removed the middle part of the unit, so it does not have the hinge part. It sticks directly out of the lighter, works like a champ.

Use a dummy cover/holster and a cutoff 12V plug with superglue. less than 20 dollar solution. Other solution is I can model something on the computer and have a print shop I work with print it out with 3d plastic, but thats going to be 100-200 dollars raw cost (expensive material), I offer my labor free.

I had a mount like that. I returned it a day later, it was too unstable.

www.proclipusa.com. I love mine. Its been very sturdy and they are vehicle specific. Its a two parter, you chose the mount location, then holder. I have an adjustable holder for my evo that accommodates phone cases. Very well made.

Don't mind the mess in the background.

Thanks for all the feedback. I do kind of like the outceltj posted. I looked up the install and it says you need a trim tool, is that necassary and if so are they available locally?

That same website sells the tool kit for the trim. U can also use a screw driver with a rag so u don't scar the trim. It's easy to do and comes with instructions. It's the cleanest look I found for cell phones
