How big of a volume decrease am I looking at with M-80s in front of the existing axelbacks? It seems that running 4 mufflers would quite me down a lot
Do they just eliminate the trumpeting or do they also (from what I've read) deepen the tone?

I don't get why people do exhaust mods and then aren't happy with the car being louder. This is all part of what happens when you change the factory sound. It all sounded pretty good to me, but I don't have a problem being louder. It's a pretty well known fact that x-pipes, headers and catbacks make the car louder. Start combining them, and it gets louder.

I have been through a few x pipes and h pipes on my 99 and 07.... That's a sound that really does not go away. Same with my 5.0 with a catback around 2K RPMS you get that famous trumpet..... I think m 80s will make a softer, but not as loud. They're cheap and worth a shot.
