New exhaust tips...to go Black or Chrome? Slash cut or straight cut?
After having my axle backs pulled for over a month (yes no exhaust for over a month, I have been busy, stop judging me ) I have finally decided I like the sound enough to NOT spend the huge coin on aftermarket axlebacks.
My local Midas shop said they would weld straight pipes and the factory tips on for 65 bucks! BUT...I dont like how small the stock tips are. I want to go with 4 inch tips as I think thats the biggest that will fit in there comfortably without risk of vibrating against the valance.
My car is black with tint and black rims. I am debating about getting black exhaust tips to complete the stealth look.
Also...should I go with slash cut (angle cut) tips to match (or at least try to) the angle of the bumper valance or should I go with straight cut tips? Straight seems to look a little goofy but im worried about finding slash cut tips that will match the angle.
Opinions???

do what you like best. I really don't see someone on a forum convincing you the best option here.
if you think straight looks goofy, then get slash cut. you could always measure/guesstimate the angle, I imagine most suppliers will tell you the angle at which they are cut.
my real opinion: axle backs, even cat backs, are not huge coin and are worth their cost in both looks and sound. I'd get a nice polished 4" stainless tip, I am not big on the blacked out look.

if you like the stealth look, try finding some black chrome tips. they really look good without just being a plain black powder coat. i'll eventually put them on mine. as for the cut, i like straight cut if you set them right. i've got 4" straight cut on mine to give you an idea of what it looks like.

mine are MBRP muffler deletes, slash cut 4" stainless. 4" is as big as you want to go, IMO.
all depends on what you want. i wanted to go with a black and stainless theme, like my rims.
07CSstang's tips look great too. all depends what you like.
