Default About to purchase 2103 GT Convertible - Please Help!

I have been considering purchasing a 2013 GT Convertible for a few months now. I came close a few times with ordering exactly what I wanted, but I keep backing out. I still can't believe I'm thinking about spending $40k on a Mustang. I've gone back and fourth from Convertibles to Coupes, to Glass Roofs, but I keep coming back to the convertible. I've never owned a convertible so it's one factor in moving forward with this car.

Is this a fair deal? I offered $900 less then this offer. I'm scheduled to meet with the dealership tomorrow and see if they'll take $39k. If they do I'll probably get this car tomorrow morning.

I need that extra push from the Mustang crowd to help convince me that this is a good idea and a fair price. I purchase new cars all the time, but this will be my first sports car that I will also use as a daily driver.

2013 Ford Mustang 2dr Conv GT Premium
Ext. Color: Deep Blue - Int. Color: Charcoal Black
MSRP: $44,615.00 +
Sale Price: $39,931.00
Freight: $795.00
Processing: $200.00
Taxes: $2,515.56
Tags: $344.00
Total On The Road Price: $43,785.56

Thanks in Advance for any and all feedback!

well to compare.>>>>>>>

I'm buying a 2013 Grabber Blue GT Premium -- > Manual --- Grabber Blue stitching on seats -- > Comfort Package ---> Security Package ---> Shaker 1000 ---> Side Scoops, and the

MSRP is $43,370.
They will ALSO be adding GT500 stripes on it pre-delivery at no charge.

On the road is $42,466 Taxes are stupid high here though (MD is 6%)... I'm surprised we don't have dealership people on here trying to sell cars at a low price point, they'd get loaded.

Did you factor in incentives? you're prolly getting a better deal than I.

Go for the rag top. There's NOTHING like crusing topless on a nice day. Nothing.

Congrats! I love the Grabber Blue!

2 comments and I already feel better about moving forward with the convertible.

Mine is also going to be a convertible. How do you feel about the $2340 Nav package? I just couldn't stomach that price along with 1200 for the shaker pro

I had never bought a vert and really never wanted one; well in 05 I wanted the new Mustang and had a hard time deciding between a supercharged Saleen coupe or a NA vert.

I went with the vert and it has been a blast for the last 7 years; nothing like cruising around on a nice day with the top down.

In my opinion you can always upgrade the stereo. But as far as an integrated NAV system, well you only get one chance at that. I don't think it's worth $2340, but considering the discount it's an option I want in this car.

Driving a convertible during a warm summer day is cool, but the really fun time is the top down at night! Taking it easy, cruising downtown or screaming down a tunnel in the middle of the night puts a huge smile on my face, and I don't tend to smile.
