Default Question about engine stuffs

Okay,
So im in the research phase of forced induction. I probabaly am going to go the turbo route, just cause I want to be a rebel. Not really, I just like the idea of it.

Anyways. Im confused on some of the logistics of it. (thats why I joined this site ) I know the stock s197 4.6 holds up to around 500 HP. (maybe a little less, whatever) I am not interested in those numbers, I want 700-800. Obliviously this will take a nice amount of boost. (im going twin turbo) So, with that in mind, I need information on forging. I know I will need a forged rotating assembly, but what does this entail for parts and such? Also, a recommendation would be nice. What about a forged short block? Is this needed? Do you have to build it? I just need knowledge. There isn't a lot of in detail explanations of this stuff, and no one has ever told me about it XD I apologize for my noobiness.

When people talk about a forged block, they are referring to the internals being forged (and probably ARP bolts/studs being used), there is nothing different about the actual block (although some builders do debur and chamfer the edges). The forged internals are the rotating assembly (the crank, rods, and pistons). there are a lot of variables in each, if you are going to stroke the engine, you need a crank matched with rods for the stroke. The internals of the "aluminator" engine are spec'd for 700HP, you can get combos of crank/rods/pistons rated for far in excess of 1000HP.
To reliably hold the kind of power you are looking for, you will need to talk about your goals with the company you select to build you engine.

Companies I can think of off the top of my head right now that do these engines are Brenspeed, MMR, CHP, BBR, Livernois.

Okay, so I need a good combination of pistons, crankshaft, rods, and strong bolts. What parts of the engine would most need these bolts? I looked on ARP and they had bolts for just about every aspect of the engine.

700-800 isn't bad.. Like danzcool said, a forged block is just the internals really.. You can go the easy route and buy a complete shortblock assembly and save yours.. or you can just buy the internals and use your block and do the build yourself.. for just internals you're looking at around 2000+.. for the assembled block you're looking at around 2800+... The companies mentioned are good. I'm a little partisan with DSS as I've used them for a few builds with no problems. You also have to take into account the cost for labor if you don't do the build yourself. If you're paying someone you're looking a lot more. The power goal you have, I'd look at spending around 12K with all supporting mods.

The bolts in the connecting rods and the main caps are the ones they are talking about.

U will need a better transmission and probably a gt500 rearend. U will also need a better fuel system.
