Default Time for an oil separator?

I installed some charge motion delete plates today and noticed all the oil on the old plates. Do you guys run a separator? Any brands you like?

JLT oil seperator in my opinion. Lots of people run them and they really work. Collects alot of oil, youd be suprised how much just after 500-1000miles

Your foot looks tiny in this pic. I'm partial to the old school separators like stef's and moroso, but there are plenty of other brands that have popped up over the years. In my opinion, the day someone buys a S197 is the right time to buy a separator. The blowby in these cars is just nasty.

Explains how they all work and why you want one and don't want to run a valve cover crankcase filter.

JLT is supposed to be the best. Comes with pre-made hoses, simply plug & play. I wish I had bought that one. I bought another brand. Works OK but I'd rather have the pre-made hoses.

I did this same exact thing about two months ago. Looking at the flapes in the oem plates made me order one of these that night. I wet with the JLT. After shopping around it didn't make sense to go any other way.. It snaps right in place no bolting or drilling or relocating hoses...... Goes right in place and looks like it should be there, JLT no doubt! Wish I did this the day I bought the car! Works good. And I'm noticing a lot of people on this forum going with oil seperators recently.. Spread the word keep burnt oil out!

Just got my JLT by UPS. Took it out of the box and opened the hood. Within 30 seconds the install was complete. I'll tell you in a month how much oil I got out of it.

The install was a disappointment, didn't even have time to crack open a beer!! I usually make everything at least a two beer job.

The JLT is too small IMO. If I had the JLT, I would have to empty it every 1000 miles...

My UPR oil separator can go 5000 miles before it needs to be emptied.

I have the UPR can. I empty it every 2500 miles and it is a little less than half full. I let it go 5000 miles once and it was completely full and I'm not sure it was still seperating out the oil at that point. If I had it to do over I would have gone with the JLT.
