Default Stuck on which gears to get

My 2007 Eleanor Dominator mustang is in the shop getting a new racing clutch. I want to change out the gears also but I am undecided on 3.73 or 4.10. I now has a Rousch stage 2 supercharger around 550 HP and I plan in the future to upgrade to the stage 3 at 700 HP. It has the Rousch Track Suspension and the Ride Tech Air Ride Shock suspension. It is just my fun/show car but we do take in on several trips each year. Can anyone let me know which gears would work best for the set up I have. I am leaning to the 4.10 but I didn't know if I was better off to go with the 3.73 with the set up I have.

Thanks

Have it dyno tuned first. If you aren't going to race it I would probably stick with 373. I am around 565 rwhp with 4.10s and need quality tires to keep traction.

What gears are in there now?

What gears do you have now? I did 4.10"s in my last GT and first gear disappeared. Gas mileage sucked. Your SC makes enough power to push a higher gear, so I guess it depends on what your going to do with the car. my current GT has 3.55's. I've owned Mustangs with just about every gear ratio and 3.55's are my favorites for an everyday driver.

Everything is stock with the rear end. I blew the clutch out so it is getting a stage 3 racing clutch. I just wasn't sure the the supercharger if the 4.10 would be to high. Basically its just a street car. I have never raced it yet (at a drag strip) Just something rare and fun. I came from England and the only one in America.

I have 460 the rear and I love having 410s but I really enjoy the low end torque. Those gears with the torque convertor equals incredible

What is a stage 3 clutch? What brand and model are you getting?

There are different gear ratios that your car could have. In order to help you pick a new one, we need to know what you have now.

Do you have the stock engine in the car?

I have 4.10 in my 05 with a vortech. 425 horse and I absolutely hate the 4.10. I just bought the car this way and its the first thing I am changing. My 03 I used to have was perfect on the street with 3.55's.

3.73 seems to be the best of both worlds

I hear 3.73 and 4.10 so much on these forums, you'd think they were the only rear end options that existed...
