Trmach1 I just uploaded 2 pics under my garage. Yeah that would be cool. Don't really get into ft Myers too often though. Leaving on vacation tomorrow but would be cool to check out some cars after.

Yeah, I don't know why, but they don't paint the axle housings from the factory. I've seen them oxidized at the dealership. The rust won't hurt anything, but they certainly look better painted.

Yeah, as you mentioned I'm sure mechanically it is fine but the under carriage just looks so dismal like that. Just one of those things that shouldn't bother me but does I guess.

You should call Brenspeed and talk with them about your ideas for mods, warranty effects etc.... They have always treated me right and gave me honest advice. They race their rides and many of them run in the 10 second range so they know tuning. They have tuned my car to several trophies as well. Good luck and congrats on getting a nice hot rod.

Paint it! Use some rust inhibiting primer and then paint it whatever color you like. If you take your time masking everything off, you won't have to remove the axle to paint it.

In response though, one of the things that I most look forward to is working on my car myself. It's not even the joy of trying to squeeze out an extra 5 hp, it's the joy of taking it apart, putting it back together and learning as I go. Seems like it has a great platform already.

I will def. take into consideration every bodies advice and helpful words on here!

Thanks for the kudos, 5.ohhh! Regarding the rust, I recommend you have your dealer check it out. I’m in Florida and know how the environment can take a toll on our vehicles, but I’d still bring it in. Your service manager can check into any warranty, recalls, or Customer Satisfaction Programs that may apply to your vehicle. Let me know the outcome.

5.ohhh,

I am in Naples as well and wouldn't mind meeting up and showing you the FRPP tune. I have Stainless Works cat back and the MGW short shifter installed. I love it. Makes a huge difference.
