Default Pype Bombs welded in?

Ok, as some of you that have read my stupid posts know, I've been trying to tweak the exhaust. Sorry to sound like an idiot, but can I just have the Pype Bombs (which I replaced with Super 44's back a few months ago) welded in, in place of the Super 44's? The reason I had them removed in the first place was because there was a bit of a rattle and a loss of a bit of backpressure. Particularly when it was hot. My theory is that Pypes uses some kind of cheap metal and it expands readily. Although they did sound good when it wasn't rattling. To keep that from happening, can I just have someone weld that in back in place? I'd have my old sound I liked better before back, but without that loss of backpressure maybe? Why does no one have theirs welded in and only has them clamped on?

You are right their metal is cheap, I would go with something like SLP much better quality.

Pypes are carp.
Borla or Corsa FTW.
The muffs come clamped from the factory.
All the muffler system pieces are clamped OEM.

The pypes you had were generic?
Most are of the clamp design for
the S197 mustang. They can then
put a $300 pricetag on a $40 muffler
cus it clamps on by the owner not
requiring the trip to the muffler shack.

What type of measuring device where
you using to measure this 'backpressure'
increase?
A combination seat of the pants
dyno/backpressure butt guage?
2005+ OEM flows exceptionally well over
the mandrelless OEM exhaust tubes
of the past.

Lack of backpressure doesnt affect these cars. The computer compensates for airflow changes. Also it's proven the stock mufflers flow so well theres little difference between aftermarket mufflers or even deletes.

My question is why you have mufflers welded into a system that was designed from the factory to be easily interchangeable via clamps?
