Default Popping/clunking with throttle control

When in gear and going from 0-15% throttle and back quickly, I get a clunk or pop, sounds like it's coming from right behind me in the middle of the car. Been happening since I lowered it a few years ago but it's getting really bad now. I've read a few threads but not a lot from people with the same problem. Anyone know if this is for sure fixed with a one piece DS? What's a good way for me to check?

These cars have a lot of drivetrain slack and make alot of clunking noise to begin with. Probably 99% of owners here can make their car clunk with a quick off-on-off throttle blip.

Hope it's not anything bad with your driveshaft. Sorry for not answering your question but I'm curious to see since I am looking at getting steeda sport springs when it warms back up.

The 05's thru 10's (and later?) have a lot of slop and a heavy, 2 piece DS. This causes clunks. Assuming your u-joints are ok, there's not much you can do besides replacing it with an aluminum DS.

This is probably what I will do. It's gotten worse and worse as I dry it and I really have to be gentle with the clutch and throttle to make it not pop. I get a lot of vibration through the shift stick too.

Any recommended DS?

I just put FRPP P springs on mine a couple months back, and tried to duplicate what was mentioned in the first post. My car has 81k on it, and I could not duplicate the problem. I'm not saying that you should not get a one piece DS, but without finding the problem its hard to be certain that the new DS will fix it.
