Default Fuel & Oil Pressure Gauge acting up & Check engine light

On my 2005 Mustang GT, yesterday my fuel gauge when the car is off, instead of going to 0 like usual, it stays on 1/4 full. Then when the car is turned on, it goes WAY past full and sits just above the little gas pump symbol. When looking at how many miles left to E on my message center, it seems to go down like usual when driving. I filled my car up 2 days ago and my fuel gauge didnt go past full at the pump. When I look at how many miles to E via the message center, it says 308mi and it goes down as I drive like normal and so does the guage, but it acts like the entire fuel needle is 1/4 tank off where it should be. Also I got a check engine light today, I had it comebon a few weeks ago but I discovered the gas cap was just off. So I unplugged and replugged the battery and it went away until now.My oil pressure guage has been messing up since I got my car preowned at 37,000 miles, I changed the oil at 40,000 miles and now it has around 43,000 miles on it. What the oil pressure guage does is when it get cold anywhere from 50ish degrees outside to freezing temperatures, the needle wont move off 0. Its only when the car get to normal operating temp and I restart the car it will go up to normal. Does anyone have any ideas to help me, is this happening to anyone else?

Your stepper motors in the instrument cluster are messed up. This is a common problem, search around for it. You can buy and change the stepper motors yourself if you can solder, or get someone to do it, or get a replacement cluster.

05's thru mid 06's have chronic cluster problems due to the stepper motors.
