Default Trunk open? 2008 GT

Hey guys so recently randomly my car would say trunk ajar. Which means it's open but it isn't ? It keeps beeping randomly when I drive and saying that . Anyone know what or why this issue is caused and a solution ?

It may be that your trunk lid is not fully closed - someone else had that same problem. Have you tried lifting it open just to double check?

If that isn't the case, then likely a bad sensor.

Maybe sensor . But yeah I slam it and yank on it and it's closed.

I'd guess either loose sensor or connector.
see page 29 for the cable assembly in the trunk lid...
