Just joined...Looking at a 2005 GT

As it looked when we took it out of it's garage...
After some attention on it's first day with me...
It needs quite a bit more work but a super clean, double wash using Dawn dish soap, a mild clay bar (I only had an old one) and some Meguiar's Cleaner Wax just to protect it until I can do more to the finish...

thanks...it IS a work in progress...I have found a few things that were "alley mechanic'd" but were easily repaired to as Ford intended...
Repaired instrument cluster should be here today for reinstallation...a fresh tank of gasoline with Chevron Techron (a double dose) and hopefully the fuel sending unit low signal Check Engine Light will clear itself and I will be able to read how much fuel is in the tank...

installed the repaired instrument cluster (thanks Circuit Board Medics), cleaned the throttle body (filthy) with CRC, couldn't get to the MAF as yet (rounded out screw), changed the oil...
the new fuel filter had the motor running better but the cleaning of the throttle body REALLY smoothed out the idle and running of the engine...nice to have an instrument cluster that works too...
the How To's on the home page really helped (along with some YouTube videos) give me confidence to get this stuff done...
