Cool Best place to order mods

Newbie question,
Need to find a source for Mustang parts/mods so I can upgrade my pony. The only place I have looked at is AmericanMuscle (besides some local shops).
The mods I am looking for - new pipes, exhaust - would run about $2500 (parts and labor).

Any suggestions of online shops that sell parts cheaper than AmericanMuscle?

Try CJ Pony parts.

Did you even research this or google it. There a lot of aftermarket online retailers.

A.M. has very competitive pricing and I do a lot of business with them. Late Model Restoration (LMR) is another. CJ Pony Parts is another. Steeda is another which is also a custom manufacturer with great quality items. Then there is Summit Racing. Summit has good pricing as well but not as targeted to mustang. Hope this helps.

Hello all,
Thanks for the input.
I did Google it but found too many "vendors" to choose from.
My thought was to ask people on this forum with the hope that I could get a "short list" of preferred "vendors" (based on all of your experiences).
And you have helped me -- thanks again.

I just buy from whoever has the best deal. I get stuff from all over, but I also tend to do a lot of research before I make a purchase.

if you want to be a cheap-o (like me), I look on CL (craigslist) and have had pretty good luck with most of my mod parts. you can also make your own CMDP for about 20$ if you can be without the car for about 24-36 hrs. like said above, if I'm looking for new parts, ill scour the popular sites to find the best deal. good luck and welcome!

Yeah used parts are always the best deal, when I first got my car I was able to snag my CAI off ebay for $150, and my Tri-Ax is used. For new parts, if you're a smart shopper and do some digging, you can find amazing deals too- I found my ceramic coated JBA's for $500 and a few years ago I was able to buy an Edelbrock axle back off their website, on clearance, for $90 with free shipping. It was so ridiculous I thought they would cancel my order but they didn't.

I've used Rockauto.com for new OEM parts plus Summit Racing, Brenspeed, and CJ Pony Parts for aftermarket items. American Muscle and Stage 3 Motorsports also have some good deals on new parts, and you can get used parts from ebay and www.newtakeoff.com
