Default GT vs. M3... Chances??

A guy on my work has a 2005 BMW M3 and he wants to run the 1/4 mile against my 2006 Mustang GT... I do not know that much about this kind of races... then... Is there any chance to get a good race ? Could you give good topics to win? RPMs to start? RPMs to go on every gear? Traction control on or off? Spinning is good or not?

Thanks a lot.

I raced an M3 on the freeway last Friday. It's completely different thogh because we started at like 70mph and my car isn't exactly aerodynamic. He was pulling on me.................................... until I hit the NOS and smoked him but without no way I was catching him at 100+ mph.

They run low 13s. He will probably get you by a little bit. When you run turn the traction control off. Are you auto or manual?

I don't talk too much about kills because its all about the driver but....
I did race a M3 last month light to light, 3 times, and took him by a length and a half. This car is fast and will stay along side you thru the first 3 gears but 4th, no way... If you light-em up and he bites, its all over, you won't catch him.
I don't know what there capable of on the highway?

From a stop would be your best bet. From a roll he would get you.

hey does he have a SMG m3 or not, cause if he does have one he needs to know bout burnout mode and launch mode if he doesnt already... and i could tell him how... but youll have a chance if he cant drive it will be close, those cars will run a 13.02 bone stock, stock tires and everything, but i have seen bad drivers run 14.1 before. i have seen stock GT's run from 14.2 to 13.4. so it all on the driver. i will tell you from experience, i drive probably one a day. an 05 m3 doesnt come alive until 3rd gear, then that thing pulls like a turbo car. 333hp out of 6 plugs with no boost is nasty.

i cant wait til 2006 m5's get out of there break in cycle and start coming back into my dealership, better believe im lining one of them up next to my stang...
