Default Winter Storage

Storing the stang for the winter, i got a storage shed down the road from my place... I am wondering , should i put the car up on jack-stands, take the wheels off? or will it be fine sitting there for 5 months or so? Ive never had to store a car before so any input is greatly appreciated[sm=smiley20.gif]

Default RE: Winter Storage

if it's going to sit for 5 months i would invest in a bag type car cover. this will allow you keep critters out of your ride. i don't know who makes them but i saw one on a classic car TV show. pull the car on the cover then it zips up all around the car. i'd go start it once in a while and let it get to operating temp before turning off. my race car always got stored for the winter and i always put it on jackstands but that was so those high dollar parts don't get ruined(shocks, springs, tires, torsion bar etc.
