PART II
Well we tried to get a little more out of this SC.. Looks like a good start...
We started going lean at 6000rpm A/F was 13.2...
Fuel pressure was solid 50lbs until 6000rpm then it droped to 41lb... We were using a sniffer in the tailpipes and the cats were really hot.... Adam said he is going to work on it more next week, he wants to smooth out the curve and get the A/F down...
Here you go

Hey SMP

Was the Saleen install difficult? I'm considering my supchercharger options and like the fact of only 5 lbs of boost for max air flow. I also heard from someone that they had to go out and buy about $1K worth of extra parts for the car to make it work. If that's true, then I'm going with someone else's product. I'm not looking for outrageous horsepower, because I don't want to have to upgrade the bottom end.

I'm also waiting to see what whipple and KB do.

I had it installed by adam at st motorsports...didn't have the space or time to do it....
I am very happy with the kit, although they dont give you injectors or a BAP, but then again you are only running 4lbs of boost.
The stock tune was very lean because of my aftermarket intake. But i would always get a custom dyno tune with my blower no matter what. Stock numbers are around 370 to the ground SAE, but there are some little things you can do to the blower to make the boost kick on sooner. example would be moving yhe boost accuator(cainster)down. When i did this i picked up around 10-15 rwhp, but the car started going lean near high rpm ranges. If you are happy with running low boost then you dont have to add,but you go higher you need to upgrade injectors and pulley, and MAF...The Saleen blower is bascically a whipple 2.3 with Saleen design.
The KB's will be putting down bigger numbers out the box, but i think they run more boost and this is why it comes with injectors and everything else. I wanted to wait and compare, but KB took way to long.
One more thing, the saleen looks like it belongs under the hood of this car, it's really clean...
Whatever you decide, i am sure you will be building up your bottom end in years to come, because people who run blowers are addicts to HP

Well it was great seeing you at Qualcom. I don't think I'll be back though as that track sucked. It wasn't even a track - just baricades in a parking lot. Has it always been that way or was that just a bad night? I don't think think they even used any VHT.

I ran 7.7 - what did you run again? ....LOL
