ghost,
i'd go with an aluminum driveshaft first. it's about the same price and it will definitely free up 15-20 hp and the same in torque. my auto gt picked up 2 tenths 1/4 mile and you can absolutley feel the difference as soon as you hit the throttle. it is a very easy mod to do also.
total price for shaft and companion flange is about $275+labor to balance and shorten. also loses 25+lbs of rotating mass!!

So where do you get an aluminum driveshaft and flange for $275?

Lighten up Francis *Quote from Mr. Ed television series for you younguns* I just saw some humor in the way you said you would not post your gains. I remember the original thread (17hp if I'm not mistaken) I never flamed you then and I wasn't now. In fact i believe we had some descent back and forth on the subject due to my intrest in installing them. Peace

ebay stores Bryant Racing(have to type like this or it won't come up). the d/shaft is for a 2003-up ranger. companion flange is for 03-04 cobra. you will need to have a driveline company shorten the shaft 9" exactly. then it's a bolt in deal. the same shaft from others is selling for $700!! mine weighs 16.5 lbs.(stock is 43lbs.) and has no vibration or noise issues. my dad used to work for ford so i've learned from him that ford shares a lot of parts between the ranger and the mustang. they always have done this and now is no different. the ranger has the same trans and rear set-up as the 05-06 mustangs only the wheelbase is longer. here's a pic of mine installed looks completely factory. d/shaft costs about $230 companion flange is $40!! shaft comes complete with ujoints and cradles installed. i have proven that is is worth 2tenths 1/4 mile. which translates to approx 20+rwhp.

Spyder do you have the numbers for that shaft and flange? I found a shaft but no flange on Bryant Motorports but could not find Bryant Racing on ebay. I need to make sure that I have the correct one.
