$0 Down...Financed pretty close to $30,500 for my 05 GT
My advice:
Take some K-Y with you, set it on the desk and don't say anthing to the salesman. If he asks if you've "been here before?" Find a new salesman.
Also, be prepared to pay what's on the sticker, and you may want to stretch before you go. It helps.

The Maxima and Altima remark was compared to a 99-04 GT.
The dealers i spoke to were in and around the Omaha, NE area. They were trying to get MSRP or better on the 05's but that didn't work out to well. A dealer 10 miles from me told me no less than $30K for there 05 GT premium, I said dream on. Now I could go buy it for just under sticker which is $27,986.

The sticker on my 05 premium GT was $28,695..I payed $27,700--thats the lowest they would go at the time I ordered it. That price included the valu guard protection/undercoating and I also got an extended warranty for a little extra. At the time my dealer was not accepting x/a plan pricing.

I talked to my local dealer in late nov about one and he is letting me have it at invoice ..I wanted a bone stock gt and he had one on alocation ...I changed the color from the torch red to black ..msrp was 25886 my price is 24180 . I figure that the thousands ford charges for interior upgrades is a waste imho ...I figure I can add all the upgrades myself and all I want is the billet accent ***** on everything and put on some nice aftermarket wheels and boots and still be ahead of the game ....I also got a phone call today from a salesman at dale jarrett ford and he told me that I could get a gt from them at invoice ..they would not come off the price in nov so I went somewhere else

I picked up my car on December 21. It is a 2006 GT Deluxe, Vista Blue, 5 Spd manual. The only option is the Active Anti-Theft system. MSRP was $26,155. I was quoted $24,920, so I put down a deposit. The car was at another dealer about 100 miles from the Los Angeles area, so it took about three days to get it. I felt that I did just fine. I have owned two 1986 GTs and loved them. The 2006 is a far better car and definitely a bargain.

I think I will most likely order one since dealers like to add crap like interior upgrade package, $50 wheel locks and auto transmission.
I will be looking at low $24-$25K for a GT premium.
