Ok well i have the opertunity to get a 05 GT but i would rather get a v6 becvause of price in everything insurance to buy it gas ect. i drove a v6 and i liked it. Has anyone drove both of them i havent got the chance to yet and what kind of diferences where thier besides power.

Hey, the main difference is definitely the power; the engine, but then there are a few cosmetics etc, such as the speedometer, the grille/lights, bumper and interior displays. Definitely consider the gt though, its worth it. The difference and looks of the GT are definitely worth the investment. You'll not only have a fairly reasonable investment but alot of fun too! To be honest though, whatver you get, you wont regret it. The mustang is an awesome car. period.

well then i will do that do u think that by october i can find one under 20 i can get into a whole sale auction so if i can get one for under that i will get one

My sister got her V6 in fall of 04, the first 05 our local dealer ordered and I have driven it regularly. When I got my GT in July of 05 there were the obvious differences in power and cosmetics. It seemed to me, though, that the handling characteristics and ride were for the most part identical. One difference I noticed is that the V6 throttle response was much quicker than my GT [until I installed the 87 octane xcal II from brenspeed last week. Best investment for the car yet]. Driving her car is what convinced me to get a mustang. Like the other guys said, you won't be disappointed either way. Good luck on you hunt.

I have an 05 GT, and i have driven an 05 V6. Let me tell you, they are totally different cars. I say get the GT, i could go on and on explaining the reasons why, but if your considering both, the reasons should be obvious. The GT looks better, has a more aggressive stance, and is very butch. The sound of the engine fills the cabin at all RPMs. Driving a GT is also just more satisfying, it just moves the car better, even in everyday traffic. Plus you will never be sitting left in the dust at a light by some hotshot in an SRT-4, thinking to yourself "i could have had a V8." A real mustang has a big ole V8, and i think you should get the GT. Thats just my opinion.

well this is the thing i can get one but if i am gona need alot of money to upgrade things right away or maintance then i wont have it ?? Also how much worse is the GT than the v6 on fuel and insurance for a first time driver i am gona put it in my dads name and add me as a driver though
