could be modified to meet your needs? I also believe that a brace to fit over your blower could be easily fabricated. I assume you have a standard hood on your stang?

I purchased a Ford Racing brace, looks great.
An interesting note, here: my Steeda strut tower brace would not clear the Vortech-provided and located coolant resevoir for my aftercooler. We had to fabricate an "extender" bracket that would move the resevoir about 3 inches farther away from where Vortech wants you to mount it. We called Vortech. Basically, they were like, "Really?", as in they really had no clue. Pretty amusing. Luckily it was an easy piece to fabricate. If anyone is interested, I'll run out and snap a picture or two.

I want a strut tower brace that looks like the stock one on a Cobra GT 500 but will clear a Roush Blower on 4.6 Modular engine in a '08 GT. Anyone know of one? I've been told the brace off a Cobra 5.4L won't clear on a 4.6L. That doesn't make sense to me, but I don't want to buy one and then have it not fit! My local Ford dealer's employment application the first question asks: (1.) Are an arsenhole? If you answer "NO", they won't hire you! So no information or help there! I went 80 miles away to buy my Mustang!

I may have to buy the Alutec Shock Tower Brace. It's not stock looking, but cool! Any other safe choices???

To upgrade your stang without spending an insane amount of money, I suggest a cool air intake, underdrive pulleys, long tube headers; just because it gives better flow for the exhaust and personally sounds better on the car, x pipe; preferably without the cats, HINT: it makes it louder which is what I like, and a good pair of mufflers or you could always run straight pipes and not worry about it. I would also recommend a bigger throttle body than the stock one on the car already and a performance chip to give you instant acceleration. These upgrades won't be exactly cheap but a great step forward for the money it cost and still won't be nowhere near as expensive as it would if you were doing something more for hp. Overall you will gain a huge increase in hp and be deeply satisfied.

Some upgrades for your modded stang could be a CAI, a performance chip, underdrive pulleys, long tube headers, x pipe; off road or regular, and a good set of mufflers of your choice and after doing this, I suggest getting it dynoed and tuned to a grade of fuel of your liking.

A piece of info that might help a few regarding strut tower braces. I finally found a Strut Tower brace that fits on my '08 Mustang 4.6L. with a Roush supercharger. It looks just like the one on a GT 500 of those years which was my goal. I wanted it to look like a factory Ford part rather than after market glitsy to maintain value. It was listed as DSM 791018 From Dale's Speed & Marine at 760-244-7474 at 86.99. I'd give you the manufacture's name, but it was found in a distributor's parts list with only this info.

Default I need your opinions!

I went to a Roush Supercharger on my '08 Mustang so I have a Diablo Sport Predator Tuner and a C & L cold air intake that I took off after about 1000 miles. It worked great with no downside.

The tuner is locked because your's truly forgot to put the stock tune back on before he got the Roush supercharger....Duh!!

Question: I'm wondering if I can get enough out of the Predator Tuner & the C&L CAI to make it worth paying Diablo to have it unlocked?

What do you guys think the tuner & CAI are worth used? Seems good as buying new to me!

Default CAN YOU GOVERN DOWN A 2007 GT FOR A 16 YEAR OLD

Hello all---

I have a 15 year old son that is in love with a GT.

The woman in our lives are wanting me to see if there is a way to limit the performance of the GT down to a beetle or so...lol

We are seriously concerned with the GT and his experience level as a driver.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

@KidViper,

but a custom tuner, and have whoever you buy it from send you an "Economy" tune...
it'll improve gas mileage, and drop the power...comparable to a minivan.

I disagree, it will do no such thing. I wanted a Mustang for my first car too, but my parents did the smart thing and told me no, so I got driving experience and when I was ready I bought one and I must say, if I had a S197 GT as my first car, I would have got into so much trouble.
