Default New H pipe

I just installed my new O/R H pipe from Pypes tonight. It sounds good, but loud. Very aggressive tone, but kind of an abrasive sound when you get on it hard. I think I am going to put my stock mufflers back on and see how that sounds. I have the Flowmasters on right now. My friend who helped me install the H pipe says I'm crazy for thinking its loud and wanting to see how it sounds with the stock mufflers. But my car still isn't as loud as his 03 Cobra. It was an easy install after I hooked up my impact wrench to loosen the flange stud nuts.
So, if any of you are running a H pipe or pro chamber with stock mufflers, how does it sound?

Default RE: New H pipe

Well, I added the Mac o/r H to my car and it definitely makes some noise. I don't have chambered mufflers, I have Magnaflows. I can imagine that the Flows are really loud with that midpipe. That's why I went with an o/r H. The Magnaflows had a relly nice tone, but too quiet. It was damn near stock at idle, but didn't sound bad at WOT. If you don't like the stock mufflers and decide not to go back to the Flows, then keep the Magnaflows or a non-chambered muffler in mind.
