im wonderin what you guys get, both city and highway in your stangs. i get about 11.5 mpg going to and from work in washington dc in pretty heavy stop and go traffic. i dont really get any chances to floor it and i stay below 40 most of the time. the best ive gotten on the highway was 29 mpg but that was doin 60 with the cruise control onthe whole time (120 miles). mostly i get about 24 mpg highway. what do you guys get and how hard are you drivin it?

i ave. 20.4, on hwy the best i've gotten was 25+. bone stock except maganflows

I drive stop and go and under 50 most of the way to work and I get an average of about 14.5-15 mpg per tank. A tank with a lot of freeway driving at around 80-90 mph average is about 23mpg. Haven't gotten past 23mpg highway yet and haven't gone below 14 mpg around town yet.

My 1990 LX got about 17 mpg around town. Not sure what the difference is with the 05 GT....maybe I just gun it harder.

intake tuner i avg 20, thats with driving spirited everyday, and making 4 passes at the track.

I have a handful of mods......On the highway @ 70mph, I get 24-25. Around town, Im able to feather it and get 19.

i'm also in the DC area and on 270 or 495 everyday. my total avg. is 17.1mpg right now with all the mods. i do run mine...what was said earlier...spirited to say the least...actually i run the dog sh*t out of mine very chance i get. i don't stay a prolonged speeds above 70mph though(i like my cheap insurance and in this area its near impossible. i'll bet i make 15-20 1/8 mile runs every day[sm=gears.gif] and you should see my parking lot at work!!!

i get 28 to 30 mpg in my 86 5liter i know that sounds a little out there but on the hwy with 2.73s in the gear it work nicely around town is not good cause im in it hard 1st and 2nd gear alot u would be amazed how fast the tires turn in 2nd

How about lows? I have managed 8.9 in the city trying to have as much fun as possible.

The best mileage I got in the city (when it was stock) was about 18 MPG. Now with all the mods is about 13 MPG. Highway MPG really don’t know, not many highways here in Panama City, FL. Drove to Orlando once, average speed of about 95 MPH and had to fill the tank near Gainesville FL, another ¼ tank just to get to Orlando. Enjoy!

At fill up time I find I get about 16 mpg. I take the freeway to work most days and then it's mostly city driving home. When I drove down to Dana Point I reset the computer when getting on the 405 South. For the 70 miles or so I got 26 MPG going mostly 70. If I'd get it up to 80 I'd go down some. It's just that city driving, with having to accelerate from a dead stop that really uses the gas! For example, right now my MPG is 16.6. If I were to take her out and play Ricky Roadracer around the neighborhood I would expect it to drop to about 14.5 after 2 minutes! Of course that didn't stop me from having fun driving home down Sunset Blvd. last night. I'd take it easy but when the road opened up I'd look down and I'd be doin' 80!
