Hello again! Question for ya, if you use the SCT 2 tuner and need to reflash the ECU back to stock for warranty repairs, is the dealership able to tell if you had the SCT tune on there before? I ask because I want the package but my dealer warned me about using a custom tune, saying it would void the warranty and thier computers can detect the tune even AFTER is has been removed and reflased to stock specs. Is this true or just a scare tactic? Thanks!

my service dept guy told me that they can put a diagnostics machine on the car and tell if it has been programmed even after you remove the tune. however, he just told me that if i have to bring it in, just reset it to stock and that would be sufficient.

right but my dealer said if they detect a tune has been on at one point then no warranty at all

If you hadnt of asked them about it in the first place they wouldnt suspect to check when you bring it in.

well i didn't ask the service guy it was the sales manager, so maybe i'll be okay! of not there is another dealer about 20 miles from here

Yea i can go to any dealer for warranty work as well. Im not worried about it, in fact im going in next week.

What kind of power gains is this SCT tune giving the GT??
I can't imagine on a naturally aspirated car it's going to be much.

C&L Intake + SCT 2 Tune = About 28 RWHP and 22RWTQ pretty good gain IMO.

By the way, I think by law they can't void your warranty unless they can actually prove that what you changed caused the problem(s) in your car. I wouldn't worry about it, I know I getting the intake and SCT2 in a couple of weeks.
