I installed my X Pypes today and I have not as yet heard and buzzing sounds or Trumpit sounds. I know that it is LOUD. I drove about 40 miles and did not get a message "check engine light" either. So all looks good. Does anyone know about doing a special tune? If so does SCT 2 or Diablo have a tune that could be downloaded. I will be going in for a Dyno tune and also to upgrade my flash tuner. Please inform me if anyone knows more on this.

I've never heard anything like what you all are describing. Are you sure the heat shields are not touching anywhere?

Re buzz: That was my first thought (heat shields) I have tried to make sure it is not them. Wont do it in garage on jacks, so will see.

Re tune: Was told to unhook battery for the night and computer will reset and tune itself better adapting to the new pipe.

Unhook the battery to re-tune itself [&:] I don't think that holds true on these new '05/'06 cars. You will need to reflash the computer to ignore the rear O2 sensors to aviod a Check Engine Light. That or buy the MIL eliminators from Brenspeed.

Just had bassani high flow x pipe with bassani ss axlebacks installed last week. i heard the same "buzzing" sound coming from near the front of the car, almost right under me where the x sits. like he said, once the car warms up it seems to go away. on the plus side the x gives me much better throttle response. on the negative i get some wicked drone 1500-2000 rpm. it seems to be quite a bit louder than stock setup (which i had not heard too often for other posts on bassani)

I too have the Bassani xpipe and i get the same buzzing type sound that seems to be right under me. I have checked it top to bottom and cant find anything rubbing, hitting or anything. But once it warms up its gone... But i love it, just kinda of annoying for the first couple minutes

I had to bend the hooks that come off my X pipe as was too deep in rubber rest and resting on the plastic. Took care of the bad noise.

On the auto cars with the bassani on road x-pipe, will I need O2 extenders?
