looks like the typical CAI kit with no tuner. I've seen others like these. Does it need a tune? I don't know but if its what you want and you don't want to spend the extra cash then buy it. Then its totally up to you big guy. From experience this will not be your first mod and you will eventually need a tuner.

In middle term is cheaper to buy a comot (tuner + "cai"). I went with Brenspeed and I have only great comments for them, plus the value/hp is one of the best around and excelent customer service.

I said other, get a tunable induction intake or a JLT intake. You need a tune for either one but the intake and tune combos make alot more power than the intake and no tune. You are going to need the tuner anyway for further mods, just go ahead and get it.

I just put my Airaid in this afternoon. I never consider an intake a performance mod since the increase, if any, is so small... so, the induction noise is my reason for doing it. And it does sound a lot meaner too, with stock exhaust. When I want more power, I'll do "real" mods like a blower or cams. If you are at the drags every weekend and ETs run your life, then the better intakes would make more sense.

A tuner will provide more benefit, but a tuner can show gains on a bone stock motor. If you're considering a tuner then you might as well look at the intakes which are better known for their gains, especially those which include a larger MAF.
