Default loose cold air filter

i have the K&N cold air intake on my 06 and twice now the filter has come loose from the intake tube inside the box. the first time i just thought i hadnt tightened the hose clamp enough, but yesterday after taking a trip i decided to recheck it and sure enough it had come off again. i know after the first time i had tightened that SOB on so tight i thought i would crack the plastic. anyone else had this problem or have a fix for it?

i have the steeda cai and that happened to me. I thought I didn't tighten it enough, but it actually was too oily around the edges. I wiped the inside ring of filter and outside of connecting tube and retightened, and it has been good ever since, about 3000miles.

Same thing happened to me you just need to get the oil off.
