2010 Big Break Kit

2010 Big Break Kit
I was looking into upgrading to a big break kit for my 2010 GT but the price is steep as it is and that's only for two breaks. I want to switch out my front breaks with the new kit but I was wondering if I can replace my rear breaks with the stock front ones? Would there be any fitment issues? Thanks in advance

About 80% of the braking is done by the front brakes. From a performance standpoint, you don't need to do anything more to the rears than upgrade the pads. You can't really just move the front brakes to the back. The front rotors are not compatible with the rear calipers and the front calipers will not just bolt up to the rear mounts. Steeda makes a big rotor upgrade for the rears that re uses the stock calipers, you could use that if you simply must have bigger rear brakes. The most cost effective brake upgrade for our cars is the Saleen brake kit you can get on ebay for $900. It is basically a Stoptech brake kit with Saleen badging. The same kit is sold by Stoptech, Roush, and Steeda for over $2000. I put this kit on my car and it works great on street and track with appropriate pads. The Stoptech kit offers better value than the Brembos that come with the GT500/FRPP kit as there are more and better brake pad choices for the Stoptechs.

Thanks for the input. I understand that the vast majority of your stopping power is taken on by the front end, I just didn't know if the front breaks (rotors, pads, calipers) and rear breaks were interchangeable. It looks like there is no easy way to do it tho, huh? Also, I was looking at the Stoptech Stage 2 break upgrade off of Brenspeed ($769) and it's offered as Slotted or Drilled. Can anyone help clarify the difference and whether or not one is better than the other? They are each the same price.
