Default 2005 Front Lower Control Arms

My ball joint is bad on my front passenger side of my 2005 GT..
I've been noticing shaking in the steering wheel at around 55-60mph, so I took the car in to have the tires balanced hoping that was the problem.. They checked out the car and said the ball joint is bad and the whole lower control arm needs to be replaced for $600 (OUCH!)

I've heard good things about the Ford Racing Front Control Arms.. Is it better to spend a couple bucks extra for those or just go with the originals?

Those are OEM on the GT500 models and appear to just be a bit heavier steel than your existing ones with likely firmer bushings. I am going to send this thread over to the S197 Handling Performance section, as the pepes over there are going to be of more help than I
