Lost My Mom
#11
Thanks for everyones thoughts, prayers and comments. My mom lived a great life for 88 years living on her own with my dad, she would have been married for 61 years on the 14th. She will be missed and I am so glad I was able to be with her at the end... Thanks again to all my fellow stang lovers

First of all, sorry for your loss. It sounds like you are very greatful for those last two hours, as you should be. Please dont take that the wrong way I just mean to say that your lucky to have gotten those two hours, and that I can tell you realize it. When my best friends mother passed who I was very close to, I was 5 min. away from the Hospis. This was two years ago and my guilt hasn't diminished. My friend however who had spent a small of time with her in her last two weeks, had guilt for not spending MORE time with her. He doesnt realize yet how lucky he was for the good times that he did have with her.
Boom: I know how you feel. I was about 3 minutes from the hospital when my great grand-dad was in there for surgery. My mom went to see him and said he was doing really well. The next morning I woke up for school, and he was gone. I will never forgive myself for not seeing him that day. Still brings tears to my eyes, because he was one of the greatest men I have ever known, and I couldn't take 5 minutes of my time to go see him.

OP: Thoughts and prayers are with your family! I can't imagine what it would be like without my mother.
