Default Transmission not shifting!!!

I have a 2003 Mach 1. It is an automatic transmission. I went to go somewhere and it was going through the gears. It went through the first 2 and then when it goes to go into the next one, it revs up and the rpms go higher and higher and it will not go into the next gear. Anyone have any ideas? I am in my extended warranty.

If my transmission fluid is low, would this condition exist?

My Z28 did the same thing. Reving instead of shifting. I ended up buying a new trans. Smell the trans oil on the dipstick to see if it's burnt. I'm not saying go out and buy a transmission, it could just be a solenoid, converter,or low fluid.

The transmission fluid was low and we added fluid, but it did not help. The fluid was bubbling a little but did not really smell burnt. I still have a bumper to bumper extended warranty, so I am thinking that the transmission would be covered.

You're good to go with that warranty.
