Default Just ordered my 3600 stall converter...

Ordered it from Bc-automotive and cant wait to get it in. Also ordered a 40,000gvw trans cooler to go with it. Darrin is such a cool guy to talk to and is very knowledgable about automatic trans/converters. Hoping to be in the 12.5 range in the 1/4 after the install.

Sounds like you should be able to make your goal if you already know how to drive it... Ive never drove a vehicle with a very big stall... but it sounds fun.

Who are you having install it? a shop or yourself?

You'll love it. I have a 3k stall in my z28. Best thing you can do for an auto. Do you run DRs at the track?

I run nitto DR's as my DD tire just to get the car to hook. I had a 3k stall in my previous gt and I soon found that it wasnt enuf for a n/a car. I believe a 3500 stall should be the minimum stall for n/a mach's as it puts you right at the peak torque on launch.

Are you concerned about the 28 spline axles at all??? I have been thinking about a stall but the thought of not doing the rearend first was a concern...

Nah, since its an auto it seems that the rear end doesnt jolt as much as with manual cars. 3600 stall isnt that harsh, even with dr's, and I dont plan on living at the track either. Mainly want a decent street cat thatcan turn 12.0-12.3 times at the trackwhen needed... I guess I would swap axles if it was aweekend drag car.
