There's also the al block in the Mach vs a cast iron blockin the 03-04 Cobra. I have word from a few Parts guys at Ford the part numbers on the Mach cams and the 03-04 Cobra cams are the same.

The 03 & 04 Mach 1's did not come with the 5.4Lt because of the size of the engine compartment, but the 4.6Lt is stock for the Mach 1and it is the same motor as the cobra with just two main differences. The first is the Supercharger for the Cobra model versus the naturally asprated Mach 1. The second is the Camshafts where different in both engines. The Mach 1 had better lift and durantion on the Cam shaft versus the Cobra model. What some people are doing is putting the Mach 1 version camshafts in there Cobra's to give them more horse power. The guy who said it has the same engine as a marauder was the closest, as the only real difference are a couple forged pieces in the mach versus cast in the marauder. Both the mach and the marauder use heads from the 5.4 used in the navigator.
