FR500 Intake setup Bought!!!!
Well I finally bit the bullitt and bought something I have wanted ever since I first learned about it. I got a good deal on a used FR500 Magnesium Variable Geometry intake for the Ford 4V motor. It also comes with a Digital MSD window switch, MSD rmp converter, Runner control module, and SVT Cobra 39lb injectors which is more than a N/A mach 1 would ever need. These things are pretty hard to get your hands on nowadays so when I saw a good condition one with all the goodies for a decent price (relatively speaking) I had to jump on it.
Alot of guys would say im retarted for paying so much for "so little" but I dont look at it that way. Even once I get some longtubes on this car it will probably only still make 330ish rwhp N/A...but I obviously I didn't buy the intake for the crazy hp gains. These things are pretty rare on mustangs so I figure it will just make my mach 1 that much more unique. I have decided to stick with my original plan when I got this car and make it a fun N/A car that can get out of its own way if it needs too. Hopefully once the intake, longtubes, and cams are in it should be able to do that
Needless to say im excited. Oh and I also finally ponied up the cash for the rear MUSTANG letter inserts....so i'm stoked for those too.

RE: FR500 Intake setup Bought!!!!
I plan to- but it really won't look much different from stock minus the color difference because most of the actuator lines and brackets are covered by the shaker. I'll definetly post some pics of the install though!

Yeah once I get the heads worked and the FR500 cams (03+ heads actually outflow FR500s once ported). But the 330 rwhp was an estimate with only the intake and Longtubes. I won't be able to afford the headwork and cams + labor for many moons []

Well it depends on what cam setup you go with but im leaning towards the FR500 Valvetrain kit which comes with just about everything you need. It runs between 1,200 -1,300 shipped and tack on another 1000 for installation because im certainly not doing that one lol.
