I just bought my 03 Mach 1 like 2 weeks ago! Completely stock! I love it! Only 24000 miles on her! I was just wondering if it is normal for the car to rev to about 2000RPM on startup then fall back off til about 800-1000! I've noticed my car is doing it and I was just wondering if it was normal! Thanks for all help or input!

 

I believe that's what mine does. Seems natural IMO

 

Idk if mine goes up to 2400, maybe 2100 or so and then falls back down a bit.. Sounds normal and congratulations!

 

Mine revs on start-up and settles down after a 10-15 seconds....completely normal.

 

Congrats on getting your Mach, and the high idle at initial startup is normal.
