Default GRINDING!!!

Hey guys im sure this has been mentioned before and i wish i had the time to read through the forums but im in a hurry to get a quick answer.

My 1-2 synchro was just replaced on my car, blocker rings, and a couple gears by the dealer. Yet it still makes all kinds of whining noises when downshifting to 1st or 2nd gear. When im in 2nd, 3rd, or 4th gear there is a chattering noise. It sounds like bearings but im not sure and the dealership insists that its fine! YEAH RIGHT. Now when I shift into 4th gear it grinds like a bitch unless i hold the clutch for about 5 seconds before shifting to 4th. It even does it when im not moving. Im leaning toward a synchro for that issue, but if anyone has anyyyy information on any of the noises im hearing please jump in so i have a little more knowledge when i rip the mechanics head off at the dealership for being an idiot!!! Thanks guys!!

Default RE: GRINDING!!!

I had the some gears and synchros replaced in my old Jeep Wrangler and it did the exact same thing. I never found out what is was, (I sold it to be done with it), but I can tell you that it is NOT normal! Raise hell with the dealership if you have to. If it is under warranty, I would insist that they put a new transmission in it.
