if he got the leap i would walk past him and get to the top of 2nd and have to get out of it bc of cars infront of me but i prob would put 2-3 cars on it easy.

I just have a fealing that the STI is not being given its full credit. Anyone see them at the track? Or raced on the street? They are gauranteed a good launch every time. And we all know we are slower on the street than at the track.

I agreeSTIs are fast. I personally saw an 06 STI run a 13.5 with thirty day tags still on it. This was 2 weeks ago at the local track, but you gotta give the Mach it's props too. Machs are anything but slow, therefore I do believe that with a good launch, the Machs got 'em. But yea, my Mach sux from a dig (no traction), so who knows!

with my mods in my sig i raced a sti the other night both from a roll and a dig. 30mph roll so i can get in 1st. the sti had a tune, exhaust, bov, intake, something done to the ic and something else small and i would walk him every time. i raced a evo mr the lightest model with the most power and i was nose to nose with it last night. it was stock tho. and i had my muffs off so i had no low end tq.
c'mon ive beat one in my 2v by a car.

From a rolling start possibly the Mustang from a stop I would definitely say the STI with that damn turbo spooling up.

if you go from a dig do not dump your clutch, the time you spin is time you lose. a little spinage wont hurt. he's going to rape you off the line , but the mach's i've driven pul liek a **** in 2-3. by the end of first he should have you by 1.5 cars, by the end of second .5-3/4 cars, at the top of 3 .25 car and it should hold there until you hit top of four then like i said fender.
from a roll his gear are gonna help him initailly, but guess what you 3.73's will start to stretch their legs and get you up front by the end of 3 and in 4 you'll be secure.

What if we give the Stang some Nitto DRs, would that not even out the playing field from a dig? I would think the Mach would do nothing short of2-3 cars on an STI in this case since the whole reason the stang get's behind is because of traction issues.
Don't forget this guy has 3.73s as well. That is going to add up in the Machs favor pretty quick.
