He won't. I don't have nearly as much power as him and my 4.10s spin my tires for days. He should drop back to 3.55s or get some suspension work and tires.

I've got a Vortech w\intercooler and with a very conservative tune it's getting 467 rwhp on the dyno. At the strip I've had issue with the trans, but still I'm turning 12.35 @ 122 mph. I'm installing 4:30 gears now, as the 3:55's don't get it off the line very well, even with drag radials. I gotta disagree with Stone, the higher the numerical gearratio the better offf the line. With my 3:55's I can smoke 315/25/19 Conti's just by flooring it in 3rd gear at 55 mph.

The higher the numerical number of the gear the faster you get into your powerband reducing traction in most cases. Those 315 Conti's are no match for your car with that kind of power. It is extremly difficult to take full advantage of low gears (high numerical) without control arms and DRs. If those 3.55s get loose in third or suck on DRs at the track, then the 4.30s are going to break loose even worse. 4.10s are way better off the line if you are set-up properly for them, otherwise, you'll just end up pedaling/feathering it that much more. With 4.30s and a supercharger, you'll be changing gears like a semi. I'd love to see a Mach 1 with 4.30s do a 4k rpm launch at 9psi on slicks though!
