Mach 1s in 04 made 310 hp at the crank, but just like ford did alsowith the terminator, and chevy did with the LS1s in all their cars. They were underated and made close to the wheels what they claimed as crank numbers. so a bolt on Mach 1 could be putting down closae to 300 hp. But since your car is set up better for the 1320 just like stone629 said, if you guys are rolling he should be right there.

 

I raced a mach at the track a couple times. He had LT's, O/R X, catback, JLT, pullies, spacer, 4.10's(I think) and a MPH tune. I beat him 2 times in a row. He trapped pretty close to me tho. 85-86 in the 1/8 I think. He was on Nitto's and I was on Kuhmo's.

I take it that you drive a mach 1? No offense but the drop in and the mufflers probably didn't due much, and if your car throws down 293 at the wheels that means your car makes any where between 328-336hp at the crank with a 12-15% drvetrain loss. That sure doesn't sound like 310 to me.[&:]A full bolt on mach 1 may get as much as 310-320 to the wheels.

 

I'll say he has in the high 280's or low/mid 290's.
Machs are very unpredictable when it comes to numbers it seems.

 

Yeah thats what ive seen too. They can make 280 rwhp or 310 rwhp with the same mods. Well its been snowing non stop and i havent gotten the car out of the driveway since he's started talking trash and the trash talking continues every day. This guy is pretty sure of himself. But another friend of mine said he just finished installing a 100 shot Nitrous kit. So maybe thats why. But he doesnt have a bottle warmer so ill be sure and race him on one of our -10' mornings and watch his engine go kaboom when he tries to spray lol.

 

If he really does have the spray I think it would be best to just race for fun and see first.

 

Yea, if he gets that gas warmed up and sprays 100 shot it'll definetly turn the tables in his favor.
