remember when i blew up my mach about a year ago?

well, the new motor is finaly in, just waiting on some gaskets for the valve covers to get here, had to swap the valve covers. the factory sent the motor with the black covers that 2003's, but mine is a 2004, and i didnt want the black ones.


im too anxious. i cant wait. i havnt driven my baby in over a year now.
all my friends are freakin too, cause every one loves that car. so many memories. so many killed ricers...

the car is about an hour away tho, at the place its getting fixed, and i work every day till 5:30, so getting it once it is done will be the more difficult part. i cant wait....oh i just cant wait. i had a dream about it the other night

 

when will it be finished?

 

the longer you let the motor break in the more power it will make. it is a proven fact. alot of people see it on the 03-04 cobras. if they baby it for a while longer they will put down more power to the hweels than people that juist get in and get on it. so good luck and did you just go with the 4.6 dohc or did you boost it up to a 5.0 block and forge everything?

yea im not gonna do what i did last time[&:], thats why im in this situation now. Not saying i wont have my fun with it, but not anything like i used to...

it had about 3K miles on it when i first drove it alone...when i got the car, my dad wouldnt let me drive it by myself. actually i wasnt able to drive by myself when i got my license for almost 3 months...


and between my dad and sister driving it before me when i was 16, it got about 3K miles on it.

then it took the romping like a champ for about 2 1/2 years....then crapped out about a year ago.

 

damn, that sucks ***, i cant lie i did the same thing at 16, but after 3 wrecks in 3 months i quit.....no i was not a fault in any of those, it just rattled my finace/wife now so i drive a little slower unless she says "beat that ****er"

 

yea, when i was 16, my g/f used to scream when i was racing people, then she just got used to it, and would actually talk ****.

But seeing as im not 16, im 20. and i cant afford to do stupid ****e like that anymore...

 

i feel you there, im 20 married in the USMC have a house looking into kids.....its fun to get on some power when im alone now. (in the dealers cars)

 

I'm surprised the motor went like that, even with you romping on it hard. Stock tunes, rev-limits, etc are usually pretty conservative. Seems like the trans would've started going before the motor. Oh well, shat happpens, glad you got the Mach back together.

What all broke exactly?
