i pulled the motor before it completely went.

but...here is the short version

Heard LOUD knocking noise

Pulled driver-side head off, inside of cylinder is scarred beyond belief.
Bad wristpin was causing the piston to wobble around inside the cylinder.

To fix w/o a new motor would have cost me more than installing a new motor...
how?
I got a deal on the new motor (5% above dealer cost)
Old motor was 4K miles OUT of warranty[:@][:@]
New motor has 75K warranty

for some reason i havnt heard from them yet. i think the holidays threw everything off. but i was down there a few weeks ago, and they had my car sitting in a bay, with the new motor on a crate in front of it...so i know it has to be done, they just havnt called. think i need to call them to see where the F8ck my car is.

i personaly like the brushed aluminum covers better, but its an '04 and '04 came with brushed aluminum...so even if i liked the other ones better, i want it to still be the '04 look.

Its the Factory 4V. EXACTLY the same as what came in it. ITs not "modded" but they are not getting rid of my exhaust, intake, or shifter. So i'll still have my bolt ons on the car.
