Only the crank is forged, and that's only with the 5spd. The autos don't have a forged crank. Everything else is cast.

Mach's have the same limit as a GT. The forged crank doesn't up it. I think that the rods are the weakest point.

what are usually the first things to fail on a mach?

ive heard the control arms in the rear or the tranny but what combination makes these things fail? ie certain hp or slicks and 4:30, i was thinking about 4:30's in the future

I know powershifting is causing my clutch to fail!! It's about 1/2 gone

I would say it's a combination of things that cause the torque arms to go, but mainly wheel hopping at the track,or DRs on heavy launches, and the fact that the lowers are some of the most pathetic looking littlecontrol arms I've ever seen. The connecting rods are most likely not going to break unless you are pushing boost, or a big shot of gas. I would be more concerned with the transmission rather than the Motor since it's really what takes the beating at teh track.

You will need LCA's if you get gears. Since I did 4.10s, I my tires are hopping bad at the track.
