Default intake spacers

ok, i've been looking around at intake spacers, and i was wondering who's got em, and what kind of gain/ losses did you see with it.

Default RE: intake spacers

I have the PHP intake spacer on my Mach, I didn't really see any improvement accept it seemed to bring back a little bit of the low end torque I lost with the exhaust.

I was just talking to aMechanic at the local speed shop the other day about these and he said they did testing with the PHP spacers on thier dyno with mutilpe setups.

The out come was that they seen noticable improvements with the Manual cars but not any real improvement with the autos, (which mine is an auto, no wonder i didn't see much hehehe.)

Hope this helps with what your looking for.

Pauls High Performance has them. They'relike $100. PHP claims an 11lb torque gain from them. If that's true, it sounds like a good mod. I've been planning on getting one, but really wanted a CAI to install at the same time for a more noticeable gain. I may try to remove any burrs or rough spots in the intake while I have it off.

PHP also offers intake porting, which would probably get you some pretty decent gains with the spacer, but they want like $1200 to do it. $1200 seems a little steep to me. All they do is smooth out the inside of the intake and remove any bad spots.

PHP is good. Also, you can get different sized if you talk to a guy named Roy over at mach1registry. He custom makes them and everyone loves the job he does. I have a smaller one (3/8") or whatever PHP has but the buddy I bought it from replaced it with a 3/4" spacer. It feels "stronger" to say the least...

Got mine from roy and i could tell a pretty good sotp feel when getting on it. FYI I got the 3/8" and with the directions i followed on mach1registry it was a breeze to install.

i asked the same the at mach1 registry, and everyone say's he's GTG so looks like that's aworthwhile mod.
what im thinking is that a RAI, TB, Intake spacer would be the most worth while mod's for under $600-$700. i was looking at some setups on cardomain, and it looks like a similar combo is netting people around 15-20whp, for failry cheap.

snake, i looked at yours, and you got a clean ride.

Here is a link to a 3 inch spacer I made for Brandon Foley's NMRA Renegade Mustang. I can make spacers in any thickness (3/8 is standard). I also port intakes with awesome results for about half the price mentioned above. Nice meeting you guys!

Yes, he's extremely well-known over at the mach1registry.
