What about a King Cobra Clutch and the Aluminum Driveshaft? The clutch and the Driveshaft should be a pretty noticeable mod when combined. The driveshaft helps with the drivetrain loss, but it also cuts out alot of vibration. If you decide to go with gears, I would stick with 4.10s. 4.30s are a little steep and start cutting into the top end a bit. My first gear is already useless with 4.10s and street tires (No traction until I get into 2nd gear).

You could also get him some suspension mods like lowering springs, lower control arms, strut tower braces, or a panhard bar. You can get all of the suspension mods I listed for under or around $1k. Just remember, if you get him stuff like aclutch, headers, or gears, he is still going to have to pay someone to install them. The driveshaft, intake spacer, and suspension mods can be installed in the driveway. Tell your husband I said he is spoiled!![8D]

The King Cobra clutch is made for the T-5 and T-45. It won't fit onto out 3650's without a new flywheel. The flywheels are different sizes (10.5" and 11").

I went to AmericanMuscle to make sure I read everything correctly about the King Cobra, and you are correct. Would you believe AM has the King Cobra listed under the 01-04 section with all the 3650 transmissions, but if you read the details under the pic of the clutch, it does say it's for the T-45 and T-5. They need to put it in the correct place on their site before someone like me buys the wrong clutch. How bad would that suck to get your transmission down just to find out you got the wrong clutch! The X3 is one of the better ones IMO. They make a difference, but are most effective if used by a dyno tuner instead of just uploading the tune that comes with it. If he plans on getting it dyno tuned, he's going to need a handheld tuner anyway. I would be ecstatic if my wife bought me an X3.
