Great choice, it took me a few days to get used to because I was used to an X, but I love the sound now.

Like that video I sent you. I didn't have it when I ran the Z28, but all that in car stuff is with the X. I think they are louder than the H, but not as deep sounding. X-Pipes sound amazing with Magnapacks and are insanely loud with SLP Loudmouths. If you want to go with chambered muffs, go with the H. Straight thru muffs, go with the X. I like mine, but I plan on tossing the Flows andgettingMagnapacks.

I actually like the sound of both. I put the current H pipe on because I got a good deal on it. The X at WOT sounds amazing, although some say it is "raspy". But at the lower RPM range, the H has that meaner, muscle car rumble to it. Just depends on what you want.

PM sent, rebel.

Here aresome thoughts:

X - raspy loud
chamber - less raspy, a little more muffled, buy makes the best HP because it does the best job allowing the exhaust gases to get hot, and hot gas scavenges better. most pricey, too.
H - throaty and more of the musclecar sound, louder than the chamber, but not the X. Makes good power

If you want loud and deep an h with any chambered muffler is the way to go. If you want louder at WOT and quieter at idle then an x with a straight through is what you want. The thing I don't like about straight through mufflers is you get a machine gun sound when you let off of the gas.

We put flows and a mac pro-chamber on my buddy's mach, it sounds deep and throaty. I went with an o/r x and flows. My car actually sounds deeper at idle then his. My car also screams a lot louderat WOT. It burbles and pops like crazy on the decel, which is great. If you want loud and a little more flow (couple hp)go with an X. The h pipes are okay, but I guarantee you'll want it louder.
