2004 mach 1
How fast will a stock 2004 mach 1(auto) go in a quarter mile?
i went to the drag strips and i was sort of disappointed by a guy who did some things to his 03 mach 1 (manuel) and it only ran a 13.9, i thought he could go faster but the people next to me said machs dont go that fast.

lol, machs can be low 13s if well driven, i know a guy who ran a 12.9 with a set of drag radials, i'd say an auto would go 13.7ish. So your guy in other words cannot drive. There are some differences between the auto an stick as far as engine goes.

I haven't had a chance to run mine with the new mods yet, but I have 04 Mach and I've run mine low 13's before bone-stock. Sounds like the schmuck you ran into didn't know how not to spin all the way into 3rd gear.
Oh, and JMAC, forgive the n00b his stupidity, LOL, I was replying to the thread-poster. lol

Yah, I have the 04 Machwith an after-market Tremec TKO M5, though I've been thinking about upgrading to an M6 tranny, I haven't decided yet though. I don't have a hell of a lot of experience with the mach auto's so it's hard to say, but auto isn't my personal preference because they're harder than hell to launch from a dig, plus you give up about 500rpm or so top end to the auto tranny. That's just me though. As for improving it, LCA's and a strut tower bar ought to make it a little easier to launch, but that's for both manual and auto though. Anything else and there really isn't that much difference between the two cars I think, it's all up to what you can afford to do to the car. I personally would go with suspension/springs, brakes/lines, and tires first then go from there, but again that's just me.
