I haven't had a chance to run mine with the new mods yet, but I have 04 Mach and I've run mine low 13's before bone-stock. Sounds like the schmuck you ran into didn't know how not to spin all the way into 3rd gear.

Oh, and JMAC, forgive the n00b his stupidity, LOL, I was replying to the thread-poster. lol
Huh?

Stock 03/04 auto machs can run 13.5 in good weather, but avg 13.7-13.9 from what Ive read. The main difference with the auto/manual engines is the steel crank in the manual vs the cast crank in the auto. The manual revs to around 6850 rpms or so and the auto to 6000, give or take a few 100 rpms. The main reason the auto's rev limiter is lower is due to the transmissions internals and balloning of the stock converterunder high rpm conditions. A "built" converter will allow you to rev safely to 6500 rpms, but to go any higher, some tweaks need to be made to the internals of the trans (I dont know the specifics). There are several people running modified 4r70/75w's that rev to 7k, but dont try it in stock form. The previous owner of my autoran a best 13.4/108 mph. Ivesince installed theconverter/DR's and its definitely faster out of the hole compared to before and should easily run 12.7 or so.By the way, manual machs have run 13.1 stock, but it takes a good driver to do it.

Thanx. and this is somewhat to do with the thread, but does low to mid 12's sound out of the question for the mods I've got? Haven't had a chance to run them at the track yet. But I've been to the track enough times to know what my issues are with really hooking a good launch, and I figure if I can run 13.1 bone stock, adding 140+ RWHP, and LCA's ought to account for at least 5 tenths or so right?

LOL, Kind of what I was thinking, but then the track can be fickle sometimes, plus driver mod is always an issue, so I was ATTEMPTING to be conservative.. When I can screw up the money I'm getting forged rods/rings, and a new pulley set for the procharger so I can hopefully up it from the 8-psi I'm running now to maybe 10-12 psi, maybe more depending on how the tune works in. I'm thinking the 42# injectors I'm running now would be ok with that much boost.. Any second opinions?
