have the JLT ram air also, and love it. You HAVE TOkeep the shaker functional! All systems go in a lil tight, this one fits great after a couple minutes.

I too have suffered from the CAI confusion. So I have at this time is a K&N inthe stock box. One of my concernswas a strut tower brace with the JLT.If I remembered the tube was too big to allow the brace.
And yes the shaker and 32v are important to me.

I'm picking up a K&N filter tomorrow for mine if i've got time. From my past experiences with modding my vehicles, a CAI is probably the last thing that should be on your mind mod wise. Do everything else, then MAYBE a CAI, then tune that mother.

Couldn't really make up my mind so I went with a drop in and did away with the resonator. Figured that was my best bet at the time.
