Default 2003 Mach1 with 8,500 miles

Hey lads,
I am going to look at a 2003 Mach1 DSG IUP 5Speed with 8,500 miles, no mods totally stock - in excellent condition (supposidly).

What do you think is a reasonable price?

3rd Party bluebook is $17,975.

Thanks
C

Hmmmm... welll.. granted I had to pay dealer mark-up when I bought mine, but I bought my 04 Mach for 24k with 17k miles on it.. If the car's in top shape, with a good carfax report, and if when you get there the seller's claims are good, I'm thinking $14,500 maybe 15k no more than that on a car that's five years old.. Because you won't know until you get there and have a chance to look at the car (if this is possible) to tell how badly the car was beaten on for the 8,500 miles that are on it. Other than that I'd stick to around 15k..

LOL.. I recently moved back to Texas, though I spent the last few years in Va Beach, VA, and there are more than a few Machs running around out there, that's probably why the price is lower, market saturation. 17,5 really isn't a bad price I was just looking at it from an east coast perspective.. lol

You can't go by blue book, at least if you are getting it from a dealer. When I looked at mine, it started out at 19.8K with 48k miles (they are normally higher around here than most places ofr whatever reason). I talked them down to 16K before all was said and done.

Are you getting it from a private party?

Yep - private party - I thought that KBB excellent ($17,975) would be the most I would have to pay - low miles ad all. Trade in is about 15k.
Thanks for the input, seems like price expectations are all over the place though...
Thanks,
C

That car would go for about $19-20 where I am from. I wish I could get a Mach with that mileage for $16k.

With my mileage? I didn't worry about it to much, it was a 1 owner and only had weld in flows. Plus, the car had been on the Cadillac lot 31 days and they wanted to get rid of it.

Aright, so it looks like anywhere from about $17,500 to $19,500 is a reasonable price?
Thanks for the input lads, I hope to get a Mach1 at some point over the next couple of months - luckily I am not in a rush so can wait for a good car or good deal. Once I do get one I will be back with pictures
