Default MGW installed

I was going to try and install the MGW myself this weekend, but since I am taking a 1,000 mile trip next week, I decided to let the local guys at Dynospeed here in Memphis do it.

All I have to say is holy shat, what a difference. No more wiggly-ness inn neutral and incredibly short throws. Now I just need the 4.30s to match up to it....

I was amazed with mine too. I knew it would be an improvement, but damn!

I was impressed by MGW too. I just got to hit the gym up a little more to make quicker shifts with this notchy thing! LOL

I just installed mine yesterday. It is notchier than the MGW in my old GT, but I think that might just be the 3650. I love it though. The shifts are like an inch of movement.

It didn't take that long to get used to. I know some people don't like the noise it makes, but I kinda do.

Mine feels less notchy now that I've put a few thousand miles on it.

In all honesty, it could very well be just as notchy now as it was brand new, and I've simply grown used to it.

I'm thinking that maybe the notchiness is just that it's a new short-throw? Granted I bought the Tri-ax, plus I upgraded from the 3650 to a TKO-600, but hhhooolllyyyy shiznit did it get notchy.. LOL You practically have to able to bench-press 300lbs to powershift with it.. Maybe I'll get used to that though, as Stonie said.. Was just positing that maybe it's not just MGW but all new short-throws that do this?

I got a Steeda Tri-ax cheap from someone I know for the car and am installing it next week probably. What should I expect once it is installed? Really small throw? Harder/more-stiffnessto shift? Lots of fun andquicker shifts?

That TKO is a tough trans to shift Subotai. Nature of the beast. Its worth it with the goals you have set for sure!

SteelStang, expect a little more resistance between shifts and way shorter throws. My shifter helped my ET alot btw.

Cool [sm=smiley20.gif]. The stock shifter isn't really that hard to shift to me, guess my on and off weight lifting over the years has paid off for something. You really saw that much gain with just the shifter? Sounds like this mod is worth it in a lot of ways.
